NA 115 Packaging Standards Committee

The Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp) in the Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. (DIN) is responsible for the standardization of all technical elements of the physical distribution of goods as well as for the necessary basis and requirements. The technical elements include means of packaging, transport containers up to 3 m³ - excluding freight containers - as well as packaging systems and unit loads as long as those do not belong to a specific means of transport. The scope covers all relevant means which are necessary for forming and securing packages, packets and unit loads. The Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp) coordinates the German participation in the field of packaging standardization on European and international level and holds secretariats of European and international standardization committees in special fields.
